Hey Stacey! Happy Holidays!! Just got back from New York! It was so fun to see Courtney and to have been a part of the RUSSH shoot! Also really enjoyed my test shoot with Brooke Coffey! The pictures were really cool! Had a blast! Also had a great time in Shanghai, China. I loved meeting all the girls and the environment felt very safe. I enjoyed going around to see the World Expo and the Oriental Tower! The fashion show at the end was probably my favorite thing we did! Everything worked out perfectly, (but don't EVER take a taxi while you are there...) I had fun traveling this year, we will look forward to next year... we'll see what happens! Pulse Mgmt's Alex Papas for Marc Jacobs, Rag and Bone and Paul Smith, all for fall 09. I Sent in some pictures to Stacey, and signed with Pulse after I met with him. 7 years later I have been all over the world Spain , L.a., Italy, Nyc you name it! I have done shows with the biggest models in the industry Stella, Tyson Beckford, Paris Hilton. Italian Vogue, Paul Smith and on. It's awesome. I'm young and getting paid well to travel. There are few jobs that could be better.Don't get offended when the girl model doesn't respond when you tell her she's pretty, she's most likely Russian, doesn't speak a word of English, and very hungry. I came to pulse management because I felt they were very professional and my mom did research of her own and found Pulse to be a reputable company. Everyone made me feel very comfortable from the beginning and I could tell they had my best interest at heart. I picked Stacy Eastman because you could automatically tell that he knew what he was doing and that he was very professional at what I so far am very pleased with the professionalism of all the pulse management representatives. Signing with Pulse Management changed my life. I am writing this message from the airport in Hong Kong! My biggest ambition in life is to travel the world! The only reason I am doing it now instead of after I had retired from some boring desk job is because of Pulse. It is wonderful to travel the world and experience the glamorous things modeling can offer you. However there are plenty of agencies that can offer you that. The single most important reason anyone and everyone should put Pulse at the top of their list is Stacey Eastman. There is a reason you feel like trusting this man... because you can! It's really difficult for me to put in words how much I appreciate him. He really cares about us. He always knows just what to do and say when I need to push myself, and also when I just need to know I am being watched out for. He has been with me through the good and the bad.. even when he had every right not to be. Stacey I wouldn't trade our relationship for anything! I have seen how rare it is to have such a trusting and meaningful relationship with a manager. I would not have agreed to join this industry with anyone else. Stacey is a great agent and has always cared for our needs. He has never failed to believe in me. It is always good to have trust in your agent and I trust him help bring me to the top. I entered in an Essence It Girl contest and I came out to be in the top five in the nation. The following summer I went to New York and stayed in the model house. Going to New York was a great experience for me! I got to meet new people and learn about the fashion industry. I really learned a lot about myself and came back one hundred times more confident. I am glad that I get to be a part of this wonderful agency and I cant wait to see what happens next! Annika signed with you because of your reputation in the industry and all of the opportunities you presented to her. This past year Annika signed with Elite Miami and spent a couple of weeks in Miami learning much about the business. It cemented her desire to be a successful model. Annika spent the summer working in Seoul. It was a fabulous experience for her. She shot many jobs, got a lot of great pictures for her portfolio, and fell in love with all things Korean. well my experience from this modeling has been amazing! I loved my photo shoot for my portfolio and I am fairly sure I am going to love the other ones to come too. If you are new to the industry just remember to be yourself and to have fun with it. If you don't become a famous model that is just fine! You are beautiful so just have fun with it! This is an experience that you will remember for the rest of your life so make the most of it! My relationship with Stacey and pulse has been a really fun one. :) He is really supportive and whenever I am around him i have an automatic self esteem boost. I won the Utah's next top model competition on May of 2008 sponsored by Pulse Management and Elite Modeling Agency. It gave me a chance to go to New York in July and receive a contract with Elite Modeling Agency. While in New York I did 3 Photo Shoots and had a blast. The photographers were awesome and easy to work with. I did a runway show for Napi Jeans at the 3 6 Mafia concert in June 2008. At first I didn't want to do runway. I just wanted to do photo shoots, but Stacey and his peeps were very supportive and spent time teaching me how to walk and now I love the runway and look forward to, hopefully, doing Fashion Week in NY next year. Modeling is a lot harder than I expected it to be but it is also lots of fun. I get to travel and meet new people. I also get to wear fun sometimes crazy clothes with wild hairdoos. My favorite part is the transformation from just me to whatever character the team makes me into. It can be fast paced and stressful, but I love the challenge. My suggestion to new girls is just to be patient and go with the flow. Don't be afraid to stand up for yourself and have fun with it. Stacey has helped me alot and has been supportive and encouraging. Pulse has a local office but has connections to world wide markets so I can travel. Hiiiiiii Stacey!!!!!!! I just wanted to send you a quick email to say thank you so much for everything you've done for me and my family!! You have given me opportunity after opportunity and you have changed my and our lives forever!! Bringing me into the industry and being there for me every step of the way has given me a confidence i've never had and has given me the chance to learn and become someone who I am proud to be. :D I know that entering at the age of 16 and moving to Paris, FR by myself sounds irrational and stupid to others and my mum definitely got told she was not doing the right thing by letting me go... but they are all wrong. Going there made me a better person... a stronger person. I learned so much that very first trip about myself, other people, the srength of family and love, language, food, friends, culture, customs, EVERYTHING!! And I continued learning and growing by going to New York, New Zealand, etc. I learned that dreams do come true; and they come true in so many different forms that you could never expect!! I learned that from going after your dreams and accomplishing them can lead to other dreams. Whether you make it or not, you are always succeeding when you are trying your best. I know how cheezy this may sound, but whatever!! Hahahaha. It's just like Miley Cyrus says, "Ain't about how fast I get there, Ain't about what's waiting on the other side, It's the Climb"! I have lost and found myself in this journey. And I am so happy. Truley. So, thank you for being there. Thank you for pushing me to be the best I can be and for pushing me to do what I want to do, not anyone else. Everyone at Pulse Management are my family. Stacey has changed my LIFE. Two months after I went through castings and finally signed, I shot my portfolio with Della Bass (and David :D ). This was supposed to be the foundation of my career; what would get me jobs. But instead of waiting for my portfolio to be done, Stacey sent clients and other agencies around the world the simple polroids taken at the first casting! I got an unexpected call from him letting me know that I was wanted in Paris , France . So... in one week from that call, I was on a plane to France . While there, I was treated with so much respect and had the time of my life. I was only 16 years old, and I had already been where only some people can dream of going!! I learned so much and it was one of the best experiences of my life. Two months later, when I got back to Utah , I was doing runway shows for local fashion designer, Danni Nappi, and a number of photo shoots. I was invited to the agency all the time to just chat with Stacey and do new poloroids. Now, I am having the time of my life... AGAIN!! Only now I am in Manhattan , New York !! I had my first campaign shoot today for Puma, tomorrow I have GoSee's for notorious magazines such as; Allure, Seventeen, and Teen Vogue. AND IT'S ONLY MY SECOND DAY HERE! I can honestly say that I am a happy, busy, working model!! And it's all thanks to Stacey... and Vikki... and EVERYONE else at Pulse!! This business is not easy, but not what you think. There's no partying or drugs and whatnot, it's purely business and everyone is super nice and very professional. My advice to new people entering the business would be to hang in there, be patient, and STICK WITH/TRUST STACEY, he KNOWS what he's doing... if he has faith in you, you're already a supermodel!!
